Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a complementary therapy that seeks to take a holistic approach to treatment considering lifestyle and attitudes in addition to physical symptons.
Osteopathy emphasises normal body mechanics and manipulation to correct faulty body structures.
Since 9 May 2000 the title 'osteopath' is protected by law and it is a
criminal offence for anyone to claim to be any kind of osteopath unless
registered with the General Osteopathic Council. In addition many osteopaths
are members of The British Osteopathic Association which is the largest
professional association for osteopaths in the UK.
